The Teradata Data Stream Manager

O2MC I/O believes in a sustainable digital society, based on technology that is:

  • Purposeful and designed to deliver the right things
  • Relevant and constructive, for the long term
  • Supportive and easy to use
  • Transparent and safe

We created a data stream management solution, specially designed for Teradata solutions. The Teradata Data Stream Manager is a single solution to quickly and easily fuel your Teradata solutions with all the right data, anytime, anywhere. It empowers you to make the best marketing decisions, when they matter the most.

How it works

With Teradata Data Stream Manager you can set up a data stream in seconds. The images below show the configuration of a project to stream web data to the Teradata Digital Message Center but you can collect data from any source (e.g. web, mobile, social callcenter, chat), and stream it to every Teradata Solution of your choice, from Aster to an Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Step 1: Create a project

1. Create a project
Create a new project to set up a data stream. You can select multiple multichannel domains (like web, mobile, social or any other data source) in one project and thanks to predefined data schema’s your data stream is up and running in seconds. Select the type of project you prefer, based on the end point you have in mind (e.g. the Teradata Digital Message Center).

Step 3: Customize as you go

3. Customize as you go
Your website is loaded in the portal and is the predefined data model is automatically applied. You can overwrite and extend these definitions manually if you like. For instance to change captured values with your own or to add dynamic page elements by pointing and clicking elements that appear on the page.

Step 2: Select a connection type

2. Select a connection type
A customized Single Line of Code (SLoC) is automatically created. Once this snippet of JavaScript code is placed in the DOM of a website (or made available via a tag management solution) it triggers all functionalities. Furthermore, you can select the connection type, e.g. the Teradata Digital Messaging Center (DMC).

Step 4: Confirm and publish

4. Confirm and publish
You are only one step away of completing the set up. Check the details of your project and then hit ‘Publish’ to publish the data stream to the destination of your choice.
